the guestbook works fine. but when i login as admin and click controlpanel, then i get only this message in a white browser:

SQL: insert phpws_mod_lang_DE (phrase, module, translation, phrase_id) values (NULL, 'controlpanel', '?', 1365)
unknown error

my default language ist german. ist this the problem? and how can i solve this problem?

Problem solved:
phpws_mod_controlpanel_link > description in line guestbook was empty ;-(

ok i figured it out (somehow with my phpwebsite, the admin panel does not show). the workaround is to type http://www.yoursite.ca/index.php?module=guestbook&agbook=admin. works for me now...

I have one big problem. I have the guestbook installed and it works fine ecept one thing.... There is no small images and there are no smilies.
What can i have done wrong

In the guestbookform, I see a link "Show Legend". When i click, i get a 404, stated that "/~laagdal./mod/guestbook/lang/codes-dutch" is not found. The problem is the little dot next to "laagdal". How do I remove it ?

figured it out yet!!
You have to make some changes in mod/guestbook/admin/config.inc.php.

You have to search for "$GB_PG["base_url"]" and fill its parameter. I just filled in "./" and it worked perfect.

Why it wasn't set, i dont know. But it works for me now!!

I have finding the problem.
It's a translation problem.

The action name on the button is not the same with the result of translation function

For exemple in french the action button submit is called "Envoyer" but the result of translation function for "submit" is "Soumettre".

I dont know why ...

I have modifed my file french.php in "lang" folder with "Soumettre" for "submit" action and "Prévisualiser" for "preview" action ...

And now it work fine .....

I cant seem to figure out what is wrong, my guestbook keeps posting nothing and just, when i click submit, shows an empty form again. :(

I tried the language thing but it doenst seem to matter cause it does the same thing in english (i got it set on dutch now)

It's mandatory to insert som print out in the code for see what is the words using for the action.

I have the guest book installed, and so far it seems to be working.
Except that the images, icons and smilies don't work. When I check on the properties of the image, etc. it is giving me this for the url: www.ihre_domain.de
How do I change this?
The only thing I can think of is that I would have to download all of them to my computer, set the properties for each image, if I can, and reload them! There has to be an easier way!

Hello everbody.
Does anyone else have a problem with guestbook "Spammers"?

I get atleast 20 or more spam messages a day and it is a bit anoying. I have flood protection but it's still happening.

Any ideas why? I have a feeling that it is automaticaly generated since our homepage is not very popular and uknown to many people ..
